QUALITY POLICY ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGs)

1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to integrate the principles of sustainable development into the functioning of Dr. RMLIMS by promoting environmental responsibility, social accountability, and alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The policy aims to ensure long-term ecological balance, community well-being, and sustainable healthcare practices.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all institutional activities including academics, clinical services, research, infrastructure development, campus operations, and community outreach programs. It covers environmental management, resource utilization, waste management, sustainability-focused education, research, and community engagement.

4. Quality Assurance Measures

  • Implement an Environmental Management System focusing on energy conservation, water management, and waste reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with biomedical waste management rules and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct periodic energy and environmental audits.
  • Promote green campus initiatives such as paper-less administration, digital processes, and eco-friendly infrastructure.
  • Encourage teaching, research, and outreach activities related to environmental health, climate change, and sustainable development.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Regularly review sustainability practices through institutional committees and the IQAC.
  • Monitor sustainability indicators and document best practices.
