Cardiology

Department of Cardiology started functioning in July 2011 and in subsequent years, it has established itself as one of the premier tertiary care cardiac centre in the state of Uttar Pradesh. There is a significant increase in the number of interventional cardiac procedures in last few years, including complex coronary angioplasties and valvotomies. The department has capacity of total 35- beds including 3-beded recovery unit and 20-beded ICCU. There is a separate ETO sterilization unit in the department. The department has all modern noninvasive and invasive facilities including Optical coherence tomography guided angioplasties and latest echocardiographic research tools. In the year 2013, the Medical Council of India (MCI) granted permission to start DM cardiology course. Various papers are published in national & international journals from the department.
